An easy way to add ginger and turmeric to soups and stews and a super anti-inflammatory. This sauce is made using the turmeric and ginger from making a herbal tea!
1/2 cup peeled and finely chopped fresh turmeric and ginger root
2 litres and 1/2 cup water
Add the turmeric and ginger to two litres of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Leave to cool
Pour the tea through a sieve and put it in bottles in the fridge. Use in iced teas and fruit lollipops
Take the strained turmeric and ginger, add it to the 1/2 cup filtered water
Blend until a smooth sauce is formed
Bottle and store in the fridge
I use this in curry, soups, stews and even golden latte.
It’s important to use the turmeric and ginger from making the tea as this makes for a milder and more palatable sauce, fresh ginger and turmeric tends to be too strong for things like latte.
